Ward Assistance

Volunteers assist the Horder Ward hostess with serving meals to patients (lunchtime and evenings) while supporting the ward staff  ensuring that visitors know where the facilities are within the Ward and hospital.   With the recent expansion of Horder Ward breakfast assistance is also given.

Generally, we would expect a Ward Assistant to have some general volunteering experience in other departments before taking on a role in Horder Ward.
