The Friends' Cafe

The Friends' Cafe is situated on the 1st floor in the Outpatients Department of The Royal Marsden, Chelsea. It caters for patients, staff and visitors, is open between 10am and 4pm every weekday.
There are three shifts a day with a minimum of two cafe volunteers working on a shift providing tea, coffee, fresh home made sandwiches and cakes as well as gluten free food and healthy snacks.
All profits from the Cafe, which in 2019, amounted to over £30,000 are returned to the hospital to help fund the provision of equipment, amenities and services. All volunteers in the Cafe have to undergo health and safety training, in addition to the standard requirements set by the hospital to become a volunteer.
