Nick Fellowes & Bill Lord
PRUDENTIAL RIDELONDON 100, July 2017
In July, 2017, intrepid cyclists Nick Fellowes and Bill Lord undertook to complete the Prudential London Ride100, a massive 100 mile cycle from London's Olympic Park, through Surrey, finishing on the Mall in London to raise funds for the Friends of The Royal Marsden, Chelsea.
Their aim was to raise £7,000 and £3,000 respectively, to go towards supporting children visiting in-patients in Horder Ward at the hospital. They completed the race almost neck in neck with finishing times only 1 second apart (both crossed the finishing line in under 7hrs) Between them, they raised an incredible £16,346 which has gone towards creating a children and young person's recreational area in Horder Ward. We are hugely proud and massively indebted to both for their tremendous efforts not only in terms of raising money but taking part in such an arduous ride. |
