VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON, April 2015
Despite impending Final Uni exams, Cameron Wimble took part in his first ever Marathon - the Virgin London Marathon - which took place on Sunday 27th.
In spite of pre-event injury, and a near miss at the 18 mile mark, Cameron finished in just over 4hrs, raising over £5,000 for the Friends.
At his request, the money raised was used to start a Tea Trolley service for all patients and their carers in the Medical Day Unit of the hospital. It was a great initiative and both patients and staff are enormously appreciative of the benefits the service brings.
