The Cafe kitchen refit is now complete and thanks to the generosity of Howdens Joinery, the Friends now have a brand new, shiny, super efficient, hygienic and well designed kitchen. Over the course of a few working days, it was out with the old and in with the new, including new flooring, appliances, fixtures and fittings. Commenting on the refurbishment, Volunteer organiser in charge of the project, Olivia Stirling said:
"The Cafe kitchen was literally starting to fall apart before our very eyes and, thanks in no small part to the generosity of Howdens Joinery, we are now proud to be able to do our work in a fabulous new environment. It has given the important Cafe area a new lease of life and patients and staff are now reaping the benefits of having drinks, snacks and food prepared and served from the new kitchen." HUGE THANKS TO HOWDEN'S JOINERY, FULHAM AND TO ALL THE COLLEAGUES AND STAFF AT THE HOSPITAL WHO PUT SO MUCH HARD WORK AND EFFORT INTO MAKING THIS HUGE UNDERTAKING A REALITY.
